The cleanup begins at 8am with check-in, orientation, and light breakfast at some kickoff locations. Groups will then be assigned a site where they will undertake a three-hour cleanup. By 9am, volunteers will spread out to their assigned sites, all within the Ottawa River, Swan Creek, Maumee River, and Lake Erie tributaries and Maumee Bay watersheds. In the afternoon, volunteers will reconvene for an appreciation picnic, including food, a celebration of accomplishments, and to announce the winners of cleanup challenges and the Trash to Treasure art challenge.
