Registration is NOW OPEN for the 28th Annual Clean Your Streams Day! Join us Saturday, September 28th for a Northwest Ohio environmental tradition of removing trash from our local streams, rivers, and ditches. Sign up today!

Volunteers will gather at their designated kick-off locations on the morning of September 28th. At each kick-off point, volunteers will receive necessary supplies and safety training before heading to their assigned waterway clean-up locations. After the clean-up efforts, all volunteers are welcome to join an appreciation picnic featuring complimentary food, door prizes, and initial updates on the Challenge Awards, which add a friendly competitive element to the event.

This year’s kickoff sites will include:

  • City of Oregon Municipal Building, Oregon (map)
  • Glass City Metropark, Toledo (map)
  • Monroe Street United Methodist Church, Toledo (map)
  • Secor Metropark, Sylvania Township (map)
  • Side Cut Metropark, Maumee (map)
  • University of Toledo Law School, Toledo (map)
  • Woodland Park, Perrysburg (map)

We are thrilled to also be offering again this year the Remote Kickoff option! Join the weeklong clean-on-your-own remote kickoff, taking place between September 21st and September 28th! Remote kickoff participants can arrange to borrow clean-up supplies and are encouraged to ask Partners for Clean Streams about suggested waterway sites.

The CYS 28 registration page has all locations including the remote kickoff option. When signing up, please ensure all information you provide is accurate and up to date! Make sure to fill out all fields and questions, and don’t forget to choose your t-shirt size! All kickoff sign up pages include the PDF link for the liability form that all participants MUST fill out and bring to your kickoff location the morning of the event.

Once you have registered, you will receive an email confirmation with additional information to prepare you for the exciting day ahead!

Want to step up your water stewardship? After you register for Clean Your Streams, sign up for site captain training. Site captains are critical volunteers who coordinate groups for safety, to collect high-quality citizen science data, and make our program as impactful as possible. If you’re planning to bring a group with ten or more members, one volunteer is required to attend site captain training, but we recommend the training for leaders of groups of any size.

If you have any questions about registration or Clean Your Streams Day, please email [email protected] or give us a call at (419) 874-0727.
