About Our Members
PCS Members reinforce the importance of continued engagement with our mission. We need partners to walk alongside us in this work, because lasting change happens when we collaborate, share a vision, and pool our collective strengths.
We are so grateful for those that are passionate for clean, clear, and safe water and have chosen to invest their time and efforts with PCS.

I learned about PCS’s Clean Your Streams day from Nature’s Nursery when I found a juvenile opossum with a fish hook in its mouth at Providence Metropark. Every year since, I have participated in CYS in honor of that opossum’s life – cut way too short by something very avoidable. Our family also really enjoys participating in the PCS water quality monitoring program – we like being part of a larger effort to protect our beloved waterways and enjoy having a meaningful outdoor activity that we can do together each month.

Bob Neubert – PCS Board of Directors President
I love being a PCS member because I enjoy hiking along our Rivers, streams and creeks and I want them to be clean, clear and safe.

I support Partners for Clean Streams for a clean and safe Maumee River to enjoy in my kayak.

As a high school environmental science teacher for the past 26 years I have been bringing students to Clean Your Streams for over 20 years. It is important to not only protect our waters and to keep them clean, but also to teach the next generation to protect our rivers, streams and lakes. Partners for Clean Streams focuses on both protection and education. I am proud to be a part of that effort.

I was introduced to Partners for Clean Streams at its inception, having participated in the former Ottawa River Action Group of the Maumee RAP since 1997 and joined the Clean Your Streams Planning Team in 2000. I worked at the time as an Assistant Naturalist for the City of Toledo in Ottawa Park and felt that engaging the community, and especially youth, in picking up litter on the Ottawa River floodplain was one of the best things that I could do to help Toledoans understand the importance of taking care of their waterways. I continued participating in Clean Your Streams as a Kickoff Coordinator with PCS and eventually had the opportunity to volunteer for and collaborate on many of their other quality programs, including Clean Your Streams 365. Get the Lead Out, and Storm Drain Marking. I have read many informative articles and attended some wonderful presentations and webinars, too. Becoming a member of PCS and ultimately a PCS Board member have allowed me to put my time and money where my mouth and heart are! Although I recently retired from Toledo Environmental Services, I know PCS will help me to keep connected to my local rivers and streams well into the future.
