We are so excited to announce that we are receiving an operating support grant from the Stranahan Supporting Organization of the Greater Toledo Community Foundation. For a non-profit, especially a small one, an operating support grant provides flexibility, new opportunities, and a strong base that are so important to longevity and growth. For us, this gives us confidence that we can continue great stream cleanup and education programs. Operating support funds also provide flexibility that if other funds, that are more rigid or limited, support only particular programs or portions of programs. With this capacity grant, we’ll still have funds to fill in gaps with or grow programs beyond what we might have been able to provide for next year. This grant demonstrates support for our important mission & programs and the trust placed in us to decide meaningful and impactful ways to use the support. If you feel so moved, make an end of the year unrestricted gift (or kick off the new year) to boost what the Foundation is providing for 2020. Watch for more news as we move into 2020 and plan to join us for a stream cleanup or kids’ program!
